I led my first WinLIMS implementation at Barr Labs in 1995, as the customer. I then spent more than 25 years on the vendor side in project management, professional services leadership, and technical solutions. That means I know how these systems are built, how they're implemented, and how labs actually use them day to day. Cogsult is independent, so the advice is shaped around your lab's goals.

Are WinLIMS and eLIMS the same system?
Yes. eLIMS is the name WinLIMS has carried since 2024. Whichever name your lab uses, it is the same platform, and my experience covers both.
Is Cogsult part of the company that makes WinLIMS and eLIMS?
No. Cogsult is an independent consultancy. I am not a reseller or representative of any LIMS vendor, and I don’t take referral fees or commissions.
Can you work alongside our vendor support contract?
Yes. I complement vendor support rather than replace it, handling the lab-side work like enhancement specs, reports, training, and validation upkeep.
Can you help us evaluate other systems?
Yes. If a replacement is on the table, I run a vendor-neutral selection built around your requirements, not any particular product.
Do you build interfaces and integrations?
I handle reporting work directly in Crystal Reports and Power BI. For interface builds, I write the requirements and work with your vendor or integration partner to deliver them.
Do you work with regulated labs?
Yes. My work spans 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, GAMP 5, and ISO 17025 environments, and no system I’ve delivered has ever failed a regulatory audit.
